About Me

GJH Noordanus

I am Gert-Jan Noordanus. This website contains a summary of my activities during my professional and personal life.


I am 26 years old and have always been interested in games and new media. I always asked myself the how and why questions and therefore decided to do a Master study after my bachelor. With my insight I hope to add value to new media products and especially games.

Besides working I am a volunteer for the boy scout group de Hopman Masselman Groep. After years of being a group leader I currently am the chairman of the association.

Professional
Currently I work at WhiteBear Studios. WhiteBear Studios is a gamedeveloper. I write game design documents, do project management and take care of the quality control.

Some games I worked on: Het geheim van Rotterdam, de Schaatsgame, Zooloretto, and other games that are still in development or under NDA.

Freelancer
I worked as a freelancer for different new media companies before becoming an employee for WhiteBear Studios. Former clients are Sanoma Men’s magazines (Autoweek, Formule 1 magazine, Playboy) and Terras Media. 

My Education

Master of Arts
I graduated from the University of Utrecht with a Masters degree in Arts. I did research on games during the master program new media and digital culture. In my master thesis I asked myself the question if serious games and advergames couldn't be seen as one genre of games. Both game genres have the same goal, to transfer information by using gameconcepts.

Bachelor of Engineering
I earned my bachelors degree at the Hogeschool Utrecht. I followed the program Mediatechnology. This program is about creating new media products. I learned a lot about the different skills that are needed.
